The unmodified version of the photograph on the original (1997-03-21) home page of this website was purchased from Corel (http://commerce.corel.ca/).
The photo of Erik on the 2008-06-06 version of this website was taken on 2012-09-29 by a stranger at Fenway Park in Boston. The unedited version shows Erik and his son, who is holding a baseball that he got while attending his first Red Sox game. The game was win number 96 for the Red Sox, which gave them home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Red Sox later won the 2007 World Series, their second championship in four years.
