A: IP law by Clocktower Law.

Three of the four things that Clocktower Law does for a living are a waste of money:
- Most foreign patents are a waste of money.
- Most foreign trademarks are a waste of money.
- Most US patents (especially on intangibles) are a waste of money.
- Most US trademarks are worth the expense.
This is an odd pitch, to be sure. But it’s also true. And it helps us guide our clients into filing patents and trademarks only when it makes sense for their business. Which helps them spend less on IP and more on product. Which helps them have successful exits.
As I’ve preached previously, your legal department should get a vote – not a veto – in how you run your business. So don’t let your chief stick in the mud drive the bus!
Representing startups on 5-to-8-year exit paths means we always have to be on the lookout for more great startups like yours. Thanks for your business and your referrals!
